CHEZACARB® AC

HIGHLY ELECTROCONDUCTIVE CARBON BLACK

Carbon black CHEZACARB® AC is manufactured by gasification of heavy petroleum residues using autothermic non-catalytic partial oxidation in SHELL reactors. It is produced in 0.5 – 2.5 mm sized pellet form. It consists of primary particles that are tightly bound into aggregates. The measured size of the aggregates is from approximately 60 nm. This product is not classified as hazardous according to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP). The product does not meet the definition of a nanomaterial according to Regulation (EC) No 2018/1881. Due to their unique structure, CHEZACARB® AC carbon black can be used both in composite materials and for environmental applications.

Integrated management system

ORLEN Unipetrol RPA s.r.o. produces CHEZACARB® AC using an Integrated Management System (IMS) that includes Quality, Environment, Safety and Energy Management Systems.

The IMS has been certified by Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance Limited (LRQA) according to the following standards:

CHEZACARB® AC is used in a wide range of composite materials where it is necessary to achieve conductive or antistatic parameters of the final product. CHEZACARB® AC brings electroconductive solutions for plastics, rubber and coating in numerous applications.

For ecological use

Sorbent CHEZACARB® AC95 is characterized by:

High specific surface area above 1000 m2/g with high PCDD/F and PCB removal capacity and efficiency.
High porosity, more than 3.5 cm3/g. This accelerates the transport of PCDD/F and PCB from the combustion products on the active surface where they are captured.
The small basic particles bound into aggregates, with a size of approximately 60 nm or more, are able to cluster around contaminants and bind them irreversibly.
Small particle size enables the creation of approximately 2 mil particles in 1 m3 of combustion products, thereby forming a perfect sorbent homogenization environment in the entire volume. This results in high efficiency and PCDD/F and PCB removal in an extremely short timeframe.
